Professor V. Kalyanaraman graduated in Civil
Engineeringfrom the Indian Institute of Technology Madras in 1968
and subsequently obtained his Master's degree from the State University
of New York at Buffalo and PhD degree from Cornell University (USA).
After three years of design consultancy experience and four years
of teaching experience in the US, he joined the faculty at IIT Madras
in 1980.
His areas of interest are Steel Structures, Stability
of Structures and Computer Aided Design.
